Laxido Orange is a laxative used to treat chronic constipation. It may also treat faecal impaction after the condition has been confirmed by a healthcare professional.

Laxido contains macrogol 3350, which draws water into the bowel to soften hard stools and make them easier to pass.

Each sachet contains macrogol 3350 with sodium chloride, sodium hydrogen carbonate and potassium chloride. These electrolytes help maintain normal fluid and salt levels during treatment.

Laxido Orange is suitable for adults, older people and children aged 12 years and over.

Dissolve the contents of one sachet in approximately 125ml of water. Stir well until all the powder has dissolved, then drink the solution.

The usual dose for constipation is one sachet taken one to three times daily. Always follow the patient leaflet or your healthcare professional’s advice.

Yes. Food and drink do not affect how Laxido Orange works.

Do not take other oral medicines for one hour before or one hour after taking Laxido, as their effectiveness may be affected. Ask your pharmacist for advice.

Possible side effects include abdominal discomfort, bloating, wind, indigestion, nausea, mild diarrhoea and soreness around the anus. Seek immediate medical help if you develop signs of a serious allergic reaction.

Treatment does not normally last longer than two weeks. Contact your doctor if your symptoms worsen or do not improve after 14 days.
