• What is Lamisil AT 1% Cream used for?

    Lamisil AT 1% Cream is an antifungal treatment used for fungal skin infections, including athlete’s foot and dhobie itch (jock itch).

  • What is the active ingredient?

    Each gram of cream contains 10mg of terbinafine hydrochloride, equivalent to a concentration of 1%.

  • How do I apply Lamisil AT Cream?

    Clean and dry the affected area thoroughly. Apply enough cream to form a thin layer over the affected skin and surrounding area, then rub it in gently. Wash your hands afterwards.

  • How often should I use it?

    For athlete’s foot and dhobie itch, adults should normally apply the cream once daily for one week. Always follow the instructions in the enclosed leaflet.

  • How quickly does Lamisil AT Cream work?

    Symptoms may begin to improve within a few days, although complete skin healing can take up to four weeks after the infection has cleared.

  • Can children use Lamisil AT Cream?

    Lamisil AT 1% Cream is not recommended for children under 16 years of age.

  • Can it treat fungal nail infections?

    No. Lamisil AT Cream is not suitable for infections inside or underneath the nail. Speak to a doctor or pharmacist if your nail is discoloured, thickened or flaky.

  • Can I use it during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

    Do not use Lamisil AT Cream if you are pregnant or breastfeeding unless advised to do so by your doctor.

  • Are there any possible side effects?

    Some people may experience itching, peeling, redness, burning or irritation where the cream is applied. Stop using it and seek immediate medical help if you develop symptoms of a serious allergic reaction.

  • When should I seek medical advice?

    Speak to your doctor or pharmacist if your symptoms worsen or you notice no improvement within two weeks of starting treatment. The cream is for external use only and should not be applied to the face or allowed to contact the eyes.
