Buscopan IBS Relief is used to relieve painful abdominal cramps and discomfort associated with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).

Each tablet contains 10mg of hyoscine butylbromide, an antispasmodic medicine.

It relaxes the cramping muscles in the stomach and bowel, helping to reduce abdominal pain and discomfort.

Swallow the tablets whole with water. Do not crush or chew them. Always follow the dosage instructions provided in the patient information leaflet.

Buscopan typically begins working within approximately 15 minutes, although individual results may vary.

Do not take it continuously for longer than two weeks without medical advice. Consult a doctor if your symptoms persist, worsen or change.

Possible side effects include a dry mouth, reduced sweating, blurred vision, a faster heart rate or difficulty passing urine. Stop taking it and seek urgent medical help if you experience a serious allergic reaction or a painful red eye with loss of vision.

Do not take it if you have glaucoma, myasthenia gravis, a suspected bowel blockage or an enlarged bowel. Ask a pharmacist or doctor if you take other medicines or have an existing medical condition.

Buscopan IBS Relief is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Speak to your doctor or pharmacist for suitable advice.
